Mint‑Choc Green Energiser Smoothie

Fresh mint and leafy greens brighten chocolate into something crisp, cool, and surprisingly creamy. If you’re not usually a “green smoothie” person, this is the gateway recipe—chocolate smoothness first, greens second.

Why You’ll Love It

• Mint lifts the chocolate for a clean finish.
• Hidden veg without the grassy taste.
• Cooling and light, great midday or pre‑workout.

Ingredients

• 1 scoop Flowstate blend (or 1–2 tbsp, per your pack’s serving).
• 1 small handful baby spinach (or ½ small avocado for creaminess).
• 6–8 fresh mint leaves (or ½ tsp natural mint extract).
• 250 ml coconut water or oat milk (split 50/50 for best texture).
• ½ frozen banana (or 1 kiwi for a tangy twist).
• 3–4 ice cubes.
• Optional sweetener to taste (maple, honey, or 1 date).
• Pinch of sea salt.

Method

Step 1 — Layer Smart

Add liquids first, then Flowstate, then greens and fruit. This helps blades catch greens quickly for a smooth texture.

Step 2 — Blend

Blend on high until vibrant and silky. If using spinach, blend 15–20 seconds longer for a fine texture.

Step 3 — Finish Cold

Add ice and pulse 3–4 times to chill without over‑thinning. Taste and balance sweetness and salt.

Make It Yours

• Creamier: Add 2 tbsp yoghurt or a splash more oat milk.
• Nut‑free crunch: Sprinkle cocoa nibs on top.
• Herbal: Add 1–2 fresh basil leaves with the mint for a subtle twist.
• Low‑sugar: Skip banana and use extra ice plus ½ avocado for body.

Serving & Tips

• Keep mint in water like a bouquet; it stays perky for days.
• For travel, blend a thicker version and add a splash of water when you arrive.
• If using mint extract, start tiny and build—too much can dominate quickly.
